USD News: Multiple Programs Provide USD Students with Summer Research Experiences

I was recognized on an article highlighting students with summer research funding. As a McNair Scholar, I worked under Kristin C. Moran in the department of Communication Studies for two consecutive summers. My research project for Summer 2017 was titled, “From the Land of the Free to La Furia Roja: Comparative Analysis of Perceptions of Transnational Global Films by American and Spanish College Students.” I also received travel funding to present my research at the 2017 SACNAS (Society for Advancing Chicanxs and Native Americans in STEM) Conference in Salt Lake City, UT.
