Social Media Giveaways

The Illini Instagram giveaways below helped increase @IlliniUnion social media engagement dramatically. By incentivizing students with tagging other students to enter to win affordable #ILLINOIS-themed prizes, we increased our Instagram following by 66% and drastically increased our reach when promoting other relevant events and programming via social media. Following each giveaway, my student social media team and I would evaluate and adjust content strategy (prizes, contest rules, caption) based off social insights.
